City Centre of Nairobi is busy with traffic and pedestrians at most times of the day. Certain sections of the city, starting from Nairobi University up until Moi Avenue down to the Railway Station encompasses the so-called central business district, and these areas are predominantly occupied by office buildings, shops, government buildings and hotels. Further on the outskirts residential apartments are to be found. The city boasts a host of excellent hotels from the historic Norfolk Hotel beside the Nairobi University campus to the Intercontinental Hotel next to Uhuru Highway. Nairobi city centre has numerous cafes, cinemas, restaurants, night clubs and bars and most everything else a big city will have. Buses and mini-buses carry passengers to the various outer districts of the city.
